Bates Smart's transformative vision for Australian Unity's Spring Street headquarters in Melbourne seamlessly merged heritage restoration and modern design across three levels, accommodating over 1000 staff in flexible and welcoming workspaces. Upholding BCA regulations and Green Star requirements, the project emphasized a hub-style workplace with a wellness focus.

The collaboration with SUPAWOOD proved pivotal in materializing Bates Smart's vision. Leveraging SUPASLAT's modular linings system, the project showcased uniquely shaped slatted panels preassembled by SUPAWOOD, ensuring a streamlined installation without on-site modifications. The crisscross pattern of SUPASLAT and SUPALINE panels, framed by SUPALINE decorative solid panels, defined communal workspaces and meeting rooms, creating a harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality.
