Matched ceiling tiles and beams address acoustics and create aesthetics in office workspace

SUPATILE DIT drop-in-tiles and matching MAXI BEAM address noise reverberation and enhance aesthetics throughout a government department office fitout in the newly revitalised Finlay Crisp Centre in Canberra’s CBD, ACT.

The designers, AMC Architecture, required lining products that could not only be perfectly matched to achieve the appearance they wanted, but most importantly fall within the client's budget and be supplied to meet the project's demanding lead times. The project also demanded BCA regulations to be met.

SUPAWOOD product met all the criteria the project required. In addition, all involved could be confident we could supply, where needed, detailed technical support throughout the entire project.

In high traffic areas such as lift lobbies, corridors and breakouts, noise reverberation has been effectively addressed by using perforated SUPATILE DIT drop-in ceiling tiles. In some place they a have been used to define areas, in other spaces they span the entire ceiling. By using a SUPAFINISH Tasmanian Oak concept veneer laminate finish for the tiles they have introduced the warmth of timber, ensured high durability with zero VOC and achieved a fire group 2 and 3 rating.

MAKE YOUR MARK

See your project vision come to life!

In smaller office areas and meeting rooms DIT ceiling tiles have been used again to dull unwanted noise and introduce aesthetics. In these areas they have been installed to create ceiling features cleverly framed with light.

The use of DIT ceiling tiles was also a budget saver as where possible the existing T- bar grid in the ceiling could be utilised, services such as air-con and lighting could be easily integrated and access into the ceiling cavity could remain fully accessible.

In the reception area of this fitout MAXI BEAM in matching SUPAFINISH Tasmanian Oak concept veneer laminate has been creatively used to line the feature walls. The MAXI Beam in SUPAFINISH met a fire group 2 rating.

This project was highlighted by the establishment of a great relationship between our team, the architect, builder and installer. Because the tiles and beams were delivered prefinished ready to install and to the tight lead times, the project remained within budget and on time. The overall result is an aesthetically pleasing workspace and a happy client.
